Conduct All Candidates are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. A Candidate will be immediately dismissed for any of the following conduct violations:
1. Consumption or possession of alcohol during training activities.
2. Abusive behaviour towards Staff Members or other Candidates.
3. Violations of local laws.
4. Destruction/theft of Dive Centre or other Candidates property.
5. Gross or continual violations of safe diving practices.
Attendance Due to the condensed nature of the courses, unexcused absences cannot be tolerated and can be grounds for dismissal. Absence due to any illness or emergency must be approved by the Training Director and substantiated by a Medical Practitioners letter.
All training sessions missed due to an excused absence must be completed prior to certification.
The candidate will be charged at a rate of CYP£25.00 per contact hour (above and beyond the regular tuition) for all such make-up work. Tardiness will be considered a serious breach of rules. Therefore, lateness on two occasions will result in a formal warning; lateness on a third occasion will result in dismissal from the program.
Daily Schedule The specific schedule for the IDC and subsequent courses will be dependant upon factors such as weather and logistical conditions. However, you should arrive at the program prepared for the following schedule and avoid any conflicting plans or commitments during the effective dates of your course. A standard days program will have the following guideline timings and as such all candidates will be asked to adhere to these approximations:
08.00-12.30 Instruction/12.30-13.30 Lunch/13.30-16.30 Instruction/16.30-17.00 Break/17.00-19.00 Instruction
If any Candidate wishes to spend time seeing the fantastic sights of Cyprus please arrange adequate time before or after your Course.
Required Diving Equipment The following equipment list is required for all courses and is also a required PADI Standard for all
Professional Programs:
Mask, Fins and Snorkel
Adequate Exposure Protection
BCD With Low-Pressure Inflator System
Single Hose Regulator With An Alternate Air Source
Submersible Pressure Gauge, Depth Gauge, Compass and Timing Device.
Dive Knife Or Tool
Emergency Surface Signaling Device
Compressed Gas Cylinder (Steel Cylinder will be provided at no extra charge. Please specify 10/12 or 15 litre capacity)
Weight Belt and Weights (a deposit is required to secure against possible losses)
MSDT Prep Candidates must also have their own primary and back up lights and a wreck diving reel.
Books and Instructional Materials You must provide all relevant books and Instructional Materials. They are not included in your Course Fees but may be purchased from Dive-In.
Independent Learning For all Programs, Independent Learning must begin well in advance of start dates. Pre-studying will allow Candidates to understand the basic PADI requirements for each Program allowing the facility Staff to apply emphasis on how and where to apply Standards and Procedures, various teaching techniques and also how to market your courses effectively. All knowledge reviews must be completed before the start of each Program.
PADI Professional Fees The following fees are not included in your Program cost and must be paid directly to PADI at the beginning or conclusion of the appropriate segment of training. All fees are correct at the time of going to print, 22/10/04. Check WWW.PADI.COM for any changes to these figures.

Grading All Dive-In Courses are performance based in order to ensure our IDC/IE Guaranteed Pass format. Therefore to be certified you must demonstrate mastery of all the performance requirements for any particular course. During the IDC the pre-assessment exams will be used as a benchmark tool to determine your readiness and ability to attend the PADI IE. Only here will the Guarantee become valid.
Counselling Candidates will receive continual input and critique on their performance during courses. The Training Director and other appropriate Staff Members will conduct counselling. Candidates who demonstrate unsatisfactory progress may be counselled to withdraw from the course. All Candidate Records will be available for review by the Candidate. Remedial tuition is always available at CYP£10.00 per contact hour.
Deposits and Tuition To reserve a space on any Program a 50% deposit must be paid which will be applied towards tuition costs. The balance of tuition is due no later than two weeks prior to the first day
of a Program commencing.
Methods of Payment Forms of acceptable payment include MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Cash. For Bank Transfers please apply Direct for Bank Details.
Refund Policy Should a Candidate cancel a booking or should the school for any reasons terminate the enrollment, all refunds will be made according to the following schedule:
1. Request for cancellation must be made in writing to the school prior to the start date.
2. No refunds will be made within 30 days of start dates.
3. Cancellations made outside of 30 days will result in 50% of the deposit being forfeited. This will not include any costs for flights or accommodation cancellation fees.
4. All cancellations will incur a £30.00 administration charge.
5. Failure to attend a course on the due dates will result in forfeiture of all payments.
6. Candidates voluntarily terminating their course or those dismissed by the school will not receive any refund whatsoever.
Candidate Records Candidate records are permanently maintained by Dive-In and are available to students on individual request. Student records will be provided to potential employers and others only
if written permission is provided by the candidate.
